The accused, identified as Vikram Vishnoi alias Vikas, 22, a driver from Osian Tehsil, Jodhpur district, Rajasthan, was intercepted while transporting the contraband in a truck on National Highway 65 at Kothaguda X Road, Abdullapurmet, on Tuesday morning.
Police said Vishnoi was working with known ganja smugglers from his native place, identified as Devilal alias Katu, Aayub Khan and Ramlal, all residents of Osian Tehsil in Jodhpur. The three men employed him as a driver and promised ₹5 lakh per trip to transport ganja from Malkangiri to Rajasthan.
