Hyderabad: Two women bludgeoned their husbands to death in a fit of rage in separate incidents in the city on Tuesday night. Both women have been arrested.In the first incident, which occurred at around 8.30 pm on Tuesday, Laxmi, 54, attacked her husband, Balaswamy, 60, a mason, with a hammer during a quarrel over a domestic issue. Balaswamy reportedly died at the scene from a severe head injury. Neighbours alerted the couple’s son, Vankatesh, who was visiting his sister in Gachibowli at the time. Vankatesh returned home and notified the Borabanda police. Laxmi was subsequently arrested, and Balaswamy’s body was taken for postmortem.In another incident, Srinivas, 45, a labourer from Indra Nagar in Medchal, was bludgeoned to death by his wife, Savitri, on Tuesday night after he engaged in a quarrel with her while intoxicated. She attacked him on the head with a stick, resulting in his death. Medchal police registered a murder case and reportedly took Savitri into custody on Wednesday.
