River has launched the latest iteration of the Indie electric scooter. Priced at Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore), the Indie Gen 3 gets both mechanical and tech upgrades. The River Indie Gen 3 features a redesigned instrument console, which displays range and charging information. App connectivity is said to have been improved, offering ride statistics, real-time charging status and customisable data points. The e-scooter now comes with a hill-hold assist function. On the mechanical side, the River Indie Gen 3 gets upgraded tyres with better grip. The company also claims to have tweaked the riding dynamics of the e-scooter based on rider feedback. The Indie Gen 3 continues to be powered by a 4 kWh battery, which gives it a range of 163 km. It uses a 6.7 kW electric motor, which allows the e-scooter to reach a top speed of 90 km/h. The company claims that it takes 5 hours to charge the battery from 0-80%.
