Hearing on the disqualification petitions filed by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leadership against four of the party MLAs for allegedly defecting to the Congress remained inconclusive on Wednesday (October 1, 2025).

Advocates on behalf of the petitioners Chinta Prabhakar, Palla Rajeshwari Reddy and others took up cross examination of MLAs T. Prakash Goud and Kale Yadaiah as the hearing commenced in the morning. The cross examination continued till late evening and the advocates could not take up examination of other two MLAs Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy and Gudem Mahipal Reddy on Wednesday (October 1, 2025).
BRS MLAs file their responses to ‘defected’ MLAs explanations
Speaker G. Prasad Kumar in whose presence the hearing was conducted adjourned the proceedings to Saturday (October 4, 2025) when the petitioners’ advocates would take up cross examination of the two legislators. The Speaker is likely to announce the dates for taking up hearing pertaining to four other MLAs once the first phase of hearing is completed.
It is interesting to see how the Speaker would respond in case of two other MLAs Danam Nagender and Kadiyam Srihari who did not respond to the notices served on them.
