Mahindra has launched an updated version of the Thar. The 2025 edition comes with enhanced features and cosmetic changes. Prices start at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Thar features a distinct front grille with a dual-tone bumper and 18-inch alloy wheels. It is available in six colour options, including two new shades of Tango Red and Battleship Grey. Inside, the 3-door Thar gets an all-black theme and a new 3-spoke steering wheel. The centre console houses a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The off-roader comes with rear AC vents, a sliding centre armrest, door-mounted power window switches and a rearview camera. The Tyre Direction Monitoring System provides real-time information on tyre orientation. The Adventure Stats Gen II feature offers off-road data such as racing tab, altimeter, outside temperature and pressure, trip meter and steering direction. The Thar is available with three engine options. These include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 150 BHP and 300 Nm (MT)/ 320 Nm (AT), a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that makes 130 BHP and 300 Nm and a D117 CRDe diesel unit that puts out 117 BHP and 300 Nm. The Thar comes in both RWD and 4×4 configurations.
