Maserati has launched the MCPura and MCPura Cielo at Rs 4.12 crore and Rs 5.12 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. The MCPura is the replacement for the MC20. It made its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year. While the MCPura’s overall styling is similar to its predecessor, the car features a few design changes aimed at improving the car’s aero performance. It is based on a carbon fibre monocoque. The convertible ‘Cielo’ comes with a retractable glass roof. Inside, the MCPura gets a sporty dashboard with a central touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. There’s a three-spoke steering wheel that houses the engine start/stop button and shift paddles. The cabin is lined with carbon fibre trim and Alcantara. Powering the MCPura is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 621 BHP and 720 Nm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Maserati claims a 0-100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds.
