Burglars looted gold, silver ornaments, cash, and gadgets from a retired BHEL employee’s house in Chandanagar on Sunday while the family was on a pilgrimage. Chandanagar police have registered a case and are reviewing CCTV footage

Hyderabad: Burglars loot gold, silver and cash from Chandanagar house during pilgrimage

Hyderabad: Burglars struck at a house and allegedly decamped with 17 tolas of gold and 60 tolas of silver ornaments, cash and gadgets at Old MIG in Chandanagar on Sunday.

As per available information, the house of one Sitarama Murthy, a retired BHEL employee, was locked the house and went on a pilgrimage when the incident occurred.


The burglars broke open the lock of the main door and entered the house, and fled with the valuables. The family realised when they returned in the night.

Based on a complaint, the Chandanagar police booked a case and took up an investigation. The crime team visited the spot and collected clues. The CCTV footage is being examined.
