Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy invited Kargil war veteran and retired Indian Air Force Wing Commander Valluru Shyam Prasad to inaugurate the newly-constructed Podalakur road in Nellore on Monday.

The 5 km-stretch of CC road from Batwadipalem to Dycus Road, along with divider, central lighting, drain and greenery development work in Nellore Rural constituency was built at a cost of ₹11 crore.

After inaugurating the road, Mr. Shyam Prasad said, “The idea of inviting soldiers to such inauguration programmes is a good development. Calling me from a remote village for this programme is a great honour. This is just an example of the vision of Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy.”

Earlier, the MLA had invited few differently-abled persons to inaugurate AC bus shelters in the city. With the latest initiative, he showed his respect towards the Indian soldiers. “It is a pleasure to honour the soldiers who are sacrificing their lives for the country,” he said.
