Vijayawada: City MP Kesineni Sivanath said the GST 2.0 reforms ushered in new energy in the MSME sector along with commercial and trade circles in the statte. The service sector, which accounts for 67% in the NTR district, will greatly benefit from the new GST reforms, the MP said.Chinni, along with NTR district collector Dr G Lakshmisha, VMC commissioner HM Dhyanachandra, and Commercial Tax department joint commissioner S Prashant Kumar, inaugurated the week-long ‘Great Amaravati Shopping Festival’. This event is being organised under the ‘Super GST – Super Savings’ campaign by the AP govt at Punnami Ghat in Vijayawada on Monday.Speaking on the occasion, Collector Lakshmisha said the shopping festival aims to create awareness of the benefits being extended to citizens through the GST reforms in the form of reduced tax rates on a range of consumer goods. The collector urged citizens to participate in large numbers in the shopping festival and make use of the event, which will be held until October 19.
