Did a quick ride to Panchgani on my BMW R 1300 GS with biker friends

Did a quick ride to Panchgani on my BMW R 1300 GS with biker friends BHPian MileCruncher recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Since a day trip to Silvasa and back on 18th September (roughly 420 kms), I hadn’t ridden the bike for more than 10-15kms / each time, may be max 3 times. So the itch to ride and ride long was getting irresistible. So when a riding buddy suggested that we ride to the “Outback Echoes” festival in Panchgani, I was game. Hotels were sorted and since group of 5 riders assembled and we set out. This was my 2nd trip to Panchgani since June and 3rd trip in that vicinity (the other trip was Kaas). The ride was nice and uneventful, and starting out at 6:20 from Kalamboli, we were at the Basilica hotel in Panchgani by 11:55 am. Met a lot of riders enroute, lot of Harley boys but sizable number of GS boys too. The event as per me was a damp squib, so I came back to the hotel pretty early to catch up some nap. Next day morning started back solo at 9:10am from Panchgani. Except 1 coffee break at Khed Shivapur, 1 fuel break at Pune and couple of hydration breaks, rode straight through to home. Rode with a MultiV4S guy for a bit before Pune (boy, that Ducati is a looker no doubt and has a presence). From Pune till Khandala rode with 2 GSA850 MH46 boys wherein rather than going down the valley, they ventured into the MPEW and vanished. Not sure if there is an exit at Khopoli for bikes to exit out. Some ride stats Overall ride stats Return leg was steady and quick And my first attempt at vlogging. Excuse the lens cover, which I forgot to take off. As you may see, the ruts on the road are non-existent for the GS. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
