Man drowns in Musi River Hyderabad in Hyderabad


Mohammed Faran (25) drowned in the Musi River at Puranapul, Hyderabad, after consuming liquor late at night. The DRF team recovered his body on Tuesday morning. Kamatipura police registered a case of suspicious death and are investigating the incident.

Man drowns in Musi River Hyderabad in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old man drowned in the Musi River at Puranapul in the city on Monday night.

According to police, Mohammed Faran, a resident of Osmanbagh, Bahadurpura, had gone with a friend, Hussain alias Goru, in the afternoon around 2 am. Later at night, he consumed liquor at an isolated place near the Musi River.


“Faran, in an inebriated state, went into the Musi River for a swim and drowned. The body was fished out with the help of the DRF team on Tuesday morning,” said Kamatipura police.

A case of suspicious death has been registered, and investigation is ongoing.
