I had met the owner, Jeevan, after having a discussion on accessories in the PPS Mahindra Showroom near Dairy Circle, where I was to purchase the car almost 1 month before the delivery. He has shown me the variety of PPF and coating products he has and explained the benefits, limitations and maintenance needed for each. I was impressed by the studio and his explanation of the process and product. We discussed various solutions that we could take up, including full body PPF, full Ceramic Coating and also a combination of Half PPF and full Ceramic coating. Cut to the date of delivery and I made sure I drove directly to his studio from the showroom as I did not want to take any risks driving the car on Bangalore roads without any kind of protection. The first step was a thorough inspection of the car. We sat down and worked out that a full body PPF would be the job and he assured that the irregularities would be taken care of. I went for their recommendation of Neflix PPF (which is made in Malaysia). I was apprehensive about the lack of a brand name, but Jeevan showed me the quality of the material and the adhesive, which is the most crucial factor in the whole process. He also ensured that he had thoroughly tested it on a few other vehicles and was hence recommending it to me. I also asked him for PPF on the interior piano black elements, for which he sourced a pre-cut PPF set for all the switches and elements in the car, along with the touchscreen as well!! It costed Rs.7500, but it’s been a worthwhile investment with the piano black interiors looking pristine even after my first 1000Kms of driving. The application itself was done after a decontamination wash to remove the oil polish that dealerships use to cover imperfections. He asks the Mahindra personnel themselves to come remove the ORVM and cladding with sensors in order to not have any issues with the electronics of the car. This also meant they would also be called in to reassemble the parts. Jeevan here offered me to buy a Dash Cam on my own which he would get fitted by them for no additional cost and with the expert care to not interfere with the side curtain airbags. The work was completed in exactly 3.5 days and I’ve been gushing over the Orange beauty ever since. The Hydrophobic coating on top of the PPF application is the icing on the cake, with washes taking less than 10 mins and the results of which make me grin ear to ear every single time! A bonus coating for the interiors and wheels was done as a complimentary and overall, I’ve had an amazing, hassle-free experience working with Jeevan.
