Top 4 Electric SUVs Launching Soon

The coming months will be super electrified as four all-new electric SUVs are ready to hit roads including the Maruti e Vitara, Mahindra XEV 9S, Mahindra BE Rall-E and Tata Sierra EV. Maruti Suzuki will announce prices of the e Vitara on 2nd December, while Mahindra’s EV SUVs will debut on the 26th November, 2025. The Tata Sierra EV will arrive in early 2026.

In India, the Maruti and Vitara will be offered with two battery options – 49kWh and 61kWh. A single front-axel mounted motor will come as standard, while the dual motor, AWD setup will be exclusively available with the larger 61kWh battery pack. The carmaker has confirmed that the e Vitara will offer a driving range of over 500km per charge.

Some of its key features will include Level 2 ADAS, wireless phone charger, floating dual screens, a twin-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, single-zone auto climate control and more.

Mahindra XEV 9S

Mahindra XEV 9S

The Mahindra XEV 9S is a three-row electric version of the XUV700, sharing several design elements, features and components with the XEV 9e. The latest teaser confirms that the 7-seater electric SUV will offer a ‘Boss Mode’ ensuring more legroom for the rear seat passengers. The feature list is likely to include a triple screen setup, wireless smartphone connectivity, a two-spoke steering wheel, dual zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS and more. The powertrain setup might also be sourced from the XEV 9e.

Mahindra BE Rall-E

Mahindra BE Rall E

The production version of the Mahindra BE Rall-E concept electric SUV will make its first appearance on 26th November 2025 at an event in Bengaluru. The final version is likely to stay true to its concept. It will be an off-road ready SUV, featuring a design language similar to the BE 6. The teasers reveal that the BE Rall-E will feature aero-optimized alloys with star-pattern, LED light bars, circular projector LED headlamps, a sloping roofline and more. This new Mahindra electric SUV is expected to borrow the powertrains from the BE 6.

Tata Sierra EV

Upcoming midsize SUVs in India

The Tata Sierra EV might come with the 65kWh and 75kWh battery pack options, sourced from the Harrier EV. While there is no official word on the AWD or QWD option, this configuration is likely to be offered on higher trims. The driving range of the Sierra EV is expected to be over 500km. Save for a few EV-specific design elements, the Sierra EV will look exactly similar to its ICE counterpart. In fact, the interior and feature package will remain largely unchanged.
