BHPian VW2010 recently shared this with other enthusiasts: It goes without saying that there are smiles loaded every time you let the inline engine whine at those low gears. It has become a daily ride for me to go to work or on any local visits. It is getting closer to the next scheduled service. Tyres may last another 3k kms, but I may change them in March. I am thinking of taking it to Buddh in March and enjoying this bike. Things to change include the Android unit. I want to get one with TPMS and replace the current one, and also get something that I can mount on the fork centre stem rather than the current placement. Also, I want to try the 52/13T, which is the most recommended change from 4RR users. Need to find a traveller from the US to get this set up with the chain. Over the weekend, took some time to get the pipes back to their glory with some elbow grease and Autosol. Fairly straightforward process, but I can say it is probably 50% done with more work to do over the next few weekends. A little close up on before and after. The pipes get a brown look because of the heat and will require regular polishing to maintain the steel look. Once every 3 months is more than enough to get the brown layer off with minimal effort and a little bit of Autosol. Here is the final 50% done work. I usually remove the fairings when cleaning to help check for any leaks in the engine head, which is one of the open issues in the world market, as the engine bolts were not properly tightened before delivery in many markets. This is totally worth buying. 1200 odd in Amazon during sales. It is not high pressure but is powerful enough to wash a bike with 1 bucket water, foam and cleanse. As always, the bike delivers exponential smiles per every mile. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
