The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is getting a major cosmetic update. Spy images of the flagship sedan have been doing the rounds for some time, but here are fresh images of a pre-production test mule that reveal some interesting design details. The S-Class facelift will feature a new grille, which, as you can see, is much larger than the outgoing model. The headlamps have been reprofiled and have a swept-back design with star-shaped LEDs. The front bumper is also new and features revised air intakes. Walk around to the rear of the new S-Class, and you will find a set of new LED taillights that seem to have a teardrop design. Technical details of the upcoming S-Class are still unclear. Mercedes might retain the same set of engines, though. Currently, it offers a turbocharged 3.0-litre, inline 6-cylinder engine that makes 442 BHP and 559 Nm, a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with 496 BHP, and a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 that pushes out 621 BHP. There’s also a plug-in hybrid option. Thanks toBHPian Jaggufor sharing these images with other enthusiasts!
