Hyderabad: Telangana’s Rising 2047 vision is being framed as a document meant for delivery, not decoration. Unlike policy papers that often remain unimplemented, the state govt says this blueprint will translate into action beginning Jan, with a clear system of responsibility and follow-through built into its structure. To ensure this, the govt will prepare an action plan for every secretariat department and appoint a dedicated nodal officer in each wing to monitor progress, remove bottlenecks and ensure accountability at every stage. The vision document, set to be formally unveiled on Dec 8, aims to position Telangana as a national leader across multiple sectors over the next two decades. Officials describe it as a transformative plan that outlines the state’s ambitions up to 2047—the centenary of India’s independence—reflecting a long-term roadmap for economic expansion, social progress and institutional strengthening. Monitoring mechanismSenior officers, following the chief minister’s directions, are currently finalising the implementation schedule. High-level meetings have already taken place to determine timelines, resource needs and priority objectives for the early phases of rollout. As part of the structured monitoring mechanism, nodal officers will submit monthly performance reports aligned with both short-term targets and long-range goals laid out in the vision document. These detailed ‘progress reports’ will be sent directly to the chief minister’s office, allowing real-time assessment of departmental performance and helping the government ensure steady movement toward benchmarks. Legislative scrutinyTo promote transparency and encourage broad participation, the govt intends to present the vision document in the upcoming assembly session. This is expected to open the initiative to wide public discussion and legislative scrutiny. The govt is also considering granting legal status to the document after it is tabled, elevating it from a policy vision to a binding framework.Highlighting the importance of inclusivity, the govt has said that suggestions from members across parties, including the opposition, will be considered seriously. It believes that collective inputs will strengthen the document further and help build a future-ready roadmap that represents the aspirations of all sections of Telangana.
