BHPian darthRegius recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Had a rather pleasant drive – we started in the morning on Saturday, after we’d gotten rather delayed at night – in hindsight, a great call. Daytime driving is certainly safer and presents great views of the surrounding scenery. Reached the Mahamarg in about 90 minutes, which was great, and we took a stop at Igatpuri’s Food Mall, which was a 20-minute detour, but worth it for the relatively clean washrooms and standard fast food. Maintained 100 – 120 throughout, with an occasional burst of speed or two when the roads seemed completely vacant. The way back on Sunday evening did involve some night driving on a much more crowded Mahamarg, with a lower average speed for sure. The driving etiquette on display also leaves much to be desired, with people rarely maintaining sufficient distance between vehicles, and some people cutting in and out of lanes. A Brezza was sitting in the overtaking lane, unresponsive to flashing and a couple of honks, and finally, upon crossing him from the left, I noticed the driver was engrossed in his phone. All that being said, overall, the drives turned out fun, and given it’s a petrol XUV, the MID displayed mileage of 13.xx was a sight for sore eyes!
