Srikanth’s son Roshan made his debut with Pelli SandaD which was supervised by veteran director K Raghavendra Rao. Roshan took four years for his next film, Champion. The movie’s trailer and songs are quite impressive and the promotional campaign is aggressive. The film is slated for a grand release on December 25th across the globe. Champion is made on a whopping budget of Rs 47 crores which is quite high for a new actor.
The makers are quite confident on the script and they have spent lavishly on the film. Champion was in making for almost two years. Champion is the last big film from Telugu cinema in 2025. The film has to fare well in theatres to recover the massive investment involved. There are a number of releases during the Christmas season and Champion has to outperform all the releases and emerge as a super hit to recover the theatrical burden.
Netflix has acquired the digital rights of the film for Rs 16 crores and a major portion of the investment has to be recovered from theatres. Swapna Cinema has produced Champion and the film is directed by Pradeep Advaitham.
