Actor Akhil Raj, who scored a hit with “Raju Weds Rambayi” is returning to the big screen with the horror thriller “Eesha,” set for release on December 25. Speaking about the film, Akhil Raj said he was instantly hooked by the story and believes the film offers a fresh and immersive theatrical experience.
Akhil Raj revealed that he had signed “Eesha” even before “Raju Weds Rambayi” released and was selected through auditions by director Srinivas Manne. “The release date was finalised unexpectedly, but I’m confident audiences will connect with the film,” he said.
Calling Eesha a unique horror thriller, Akhil Raj said the film stands out for its twists, lighting, visuals, and sound design. He added that producers Vamsi Nandipati and Bunny Vaaswho delivered successes with Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambayi, will repeat the feat with Eesha.
He plays Vinay, one of four childhood friends, and expressed happiness about working alongside Trigun, Siri, Hebah Patel, and Mime Madhu. Akhil Raj also shared that he learned a great deal from director Srinivas Manne.
On the work front, the actor revealed that four to five projects are currently in discussion. He is also working on a film with Tarun Bhascker and Anupama, directed by Bhadri.
