A couple of months ago, producer Naga Vamsi stated that Kingdom, headlined by Vijay Deverakonda, was not a failure but an average performer at the box office. Directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, the film featured Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead.
In a recent interview, Naga Vamsi explained what went wrong with the movie. He revealed that his uncle, Chinna Babu, argued with the director for nearly three months over issues related to the second half. Naga Vamsi added that Gowtham Tinnanuri wanted to break stereotypes with Kingdom. “How much can we fight with a director who made Jersey?” he remarked.
Although the makers initially planned a sequel, it now appears unlikely as the first part did not receive the expected response. Satyadev, Manish Chaudhari, Rohini, and Ayyappa Sharma played key roles, while Anirudh composed the music.
