Hyderabad: A 31-year-old Sangareddy woman was killed and five others, including two children, were injured when their car slammed into a divider on the RR near Peddagolkonda in Shamshabad on Friday. According to Shamshabad police, they were travelling from Sangareddy to a meditation centre in Kadthal around 3:30 am. When the car neared Peddagolkonda at about 4:45 am, the driver lost control due to speeding and hit median. Kothagadi Shirisha, 31, a housewife, who fell on the road, died on the spot with severe head injuries. Her 10-year-old daughter Srujana suffered leg and forehead wounds. Co-passengers Sandhya (36), Sandhya’s daughter Abhigna (9), Veeramani (45), and Sharada (40) sustained injuries and were shifted to a private hospital in Shamshabad. A case of rash and negligent driving was registered. Police are trying to trace the driver, who fled after the crash.
