Besides Akhanda 2, Aadhi Pinisetty had another release on the same day, but it went largely unnoticed. Titled Drive, the Telugu film failed to create any buzz due to minimal promotions from both the actor and the makers. Produced by Bhavya Creations, the revenge drama quietly arrived in theatres and exited without much attention.
Drive has now made its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video, hoping to gain better visibility among digital audiences. Interestingly, the film has been released as a pan-Indian OTT title, with its Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions also available for streaming. However, those who watched it during its theatrical run felt the film turned out to be a dull and largely unengaging watch.
Directed by Jenuse Mohamed, the film features Satyadev, Madonna Sebastian, Raja Chembolu, Kamal Kamaraju and Anish Yohan Kuruvilla in key roles. A sequel to Drive has already been announced, but it remains to be seen whether the project will move forward or be quietly shelved.
