BYD has announced a price increase for its Silion 7 premium model from January 1, 2026. The price of the premium variant has now increased by ₹50,000, taking its new price from ₹48.9 lakh to ₹49.4 lakh. However, customers who had booked the car before December 31, 2025, will continue to get it at the old price.

The good news is that the price of the Performance variant remains unchanged at ₹54.9 lakh. So, if the increase in the price of premium models is a matter of concern, there has been no increase in the price of the more powerful variants. BYD says this change is due to rising production costs, which is due to better technology, advanced safety features and better customer service.
BYD Sealion 7 has a 82.56 kWh battery and has received a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating. More than 2,300 units have been sold in India since its launch.
