Hyderabad: To enhance transparency and parental awareness in the conduct of the Intermediate Public Examination, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has introduced a new initiative: Hall ticket download links will be sent via WhatsApp to the registered mobile numbers of parents.
For second year students, the preview hall ticket will also carry details of first year marks in passed subjects, particulars of failed subjects, and the examination schedule. First year students can access the preview hall ticket by entering their SSC roll number and date of birth, while second year students must use their intermediate first year hall ticket number and date of birth.
Parents and students have been advised to carefully verify the particulars printed on the preview hall ticket. Discrepancies or corrections may be reported to the college principal, the district intermediate education officer (DIEO), or the nodal officer concerned.
Explaining the rationale, the board said that since most parents now possess smartphones, the WhatsApp-based system would ensure easy access to hall tickets, early identification of errors, and improved coordination among students, parents, colleges, and district authorities.
“The Board is confident that this initiative will facilitate the smooth conduct of the Intermediate Public Examinations–2026,” said Jayaprada Bai, Controller of Examinations.
The intermediate practical examinations will be held from February 2 to 21. The English practical examination is scheduled for January 21 (first year) and January 22 (second year). The ethics and human values examination (for backlog students) and the environmental education examination will be conducted on January 23 and 24, respectively.
