Once, crime news related to Indians used to be rare, but sadly, it has become more frequent. One shocking incident involves an Indian-origin family in Massachusetts.
An Indian family was found dead in a large mansion outside Boston. Rakesh Kamal, 57, his wife Teena, and their daughter Arianna, 18, were discovered Thursday evening in a 19,000-square-foot mansion in Dover, about 20 miles southwest of Boston. Arianna Kamal had recently started attending Vermont’s Middlebury College.
After the initial investigation, the police declared it a suicide, as they found nothing suspicious.
The family had purchased the 19,000-square-foot estate with 11 bedrooms for $4 million in 2019, as they were involved in the tech/edu business, but suffered significant losses. Some unconfirmed media reports suggest that financial issues plagued the couple.
Their financial struggles escalated to the point where they couldn’t pay the mortgage, leading to the foreclosure of the expensive mansion, valued at $3 million.
This tragic incident will likely remain a mystery, as the three deceased individuals were the only occupants of the 11-bedroom mansion.
