The tourism industry in the country has been growing at an appreciable rate in the last couple of years, especially the number of foreign tourists.
The government has made it one of the objectives to improve the stay of tourists as much as possible. But, there are things that have turned out to be counterproductive, especially the behavior that a foreigner faces in India.
One such example of a bad experience came from a British woman who was traveling to Bengaluru from Hampi. The woman filed an FIR at Bengaluru Railway Police for getting sexually harrassed by someone who looked like a railway employee.
The woman said that she was ill and needed medical health and the guy in the guise of help, harassed her.
This is not the first time that a foreigner has complaint of sexual harassment. There have been many instances like this which not only is inhumane but destroys India’s image on a global scale.
