Serchhip: Serchhip DC PU David Lalthantluanga chaired the second meeting of the Republic Day 2024 Celebration Committee at Serchhip DC Conference Hall today.
The schedule of Republic Day 2024 celebrations was prepared on 19 December. Department officials and representatives of various organizations were present in the meeting. DC PU David Lalthantluanga thanked the persons responsible for their efforts.
The Republic Day celebrations will be held at Serchhip Sports Complex at 10 am. The parade contingent from 13 schools, Scouts and Guides, NCC, Assam Rifles and ex-servicemen is expected to participate. This year's competition will be conducted separately for school contingent and unarmed contingent. The parade contingent will rehearse for three days from January 22 to January 24. The Republic Day 2013-14 scheme will be implemented in homes, hospitals and district jails. The national flag will be hoisted on all government buildings on the same day.
Heads of various departments of Serchhip district, Assam Rifles, BSF, journalists, community leaders and NGO representatives attended the meeting.
