AFTER maintaining suspense over the candidature of Sunetra Pawar from Baramati Lok Sabha, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP on Saturday finally announced her name. She will take on Supriya Sule, who will be contesting for the fourth time. Her name was also officially announced by the Sharad Pawar-led NCP.
”After discussions with our alliance partners, we have decided to field Sunetra Pawar from Baramati Lok Sabha seat,” said Sunil Tatkare, president of NCP’s State unit at a press conference in Mumbai.

Reacting to her nomination, Sunetra Pawar said, ”It is a lucky day for me…I want to thank the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister, Chief Minister and Deputy Chiefs besides other alliance partners for nominating me from Baramati Lok Sabha seat.”
Sunetra, who has been campaigning for quite sometime now, said the election of Baramati is in the hands of the voters. ”The voters will decide who will win,” Sunetra Pawar told a Marathi news channel.
