Vijay Deverakonda – One day, I will surely deliver a 200-crore grosser

In the past, Vijay Deverakonda gave a statement about Liger, for which he was trolled brutally. Vijay stated that Liger would collect more than 200 crores at the box office before its release, but the movie ended up as a huge flop. At the pre-release event of Family Star, Vijay Deverakonda spoke about the same.
He said, “Six years back, I scored the biggest of my career with Geetha Govindam, which was directed by Parasuram. Everyone asks me to do a film like Geetha Govindam. The impact created by that film is marvelous. I delivered back-to-back good films during that time. During Pelli Choopulu’s time, I told in an interview that I wanted my films to amass 100 crores. I achieved it with my fourth film.”
Vijay Deverakonda further said, “I received immense love for Geetha Govindam. Though I tried my best, I haven’t given a better film than it. I gave another statement that I will deliver a 200 crore film. But that didn’t happen. Many asked me why I gave such a statement. They said that I sounded arrogant. It is wrong that I couldn’t achieve a 200 crore film after giving such a bold statement. One day, I will surely deliver a 200-crore grosser. Till then, I will be ready to face the wrath of people. That is because I believe in myself.”
