The Jeep Meridian made its debut in India back in May 2022, and now, as it approaches its two-year mark. The American SUV manufacturer is gearing up to give it a facelift by the end of 2024. While specific details about the new 2024 Jeep Meridian are not yet available, it’s anticipated to undergo minimal changes inside and out. The updated version of the SUV may feature slightly tweaked front and rear bumpers, revised headlamps, and a few other minor adjustments.
Despite already being well-equipped, the Meridian might receive some additional features, such as an air purifier and front and rear dashcams, akin to those offered with the Compass Night Eagle Edition. However, key features such as the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, powered front seats, and panoramic sunroof are expected to be retained from the pre-facelift version.
Like its current iteration, the new 2024 Jeep Meridian facelift is likely to maintain its dimensions, measuring 4,769mm in length, 1,859mm in width, 1,682mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,794mm. Compared to the Compass, it remains 364mm longer, 41mm wider, and 48mm taller, with a wheelbase extended by 146mm.
Under the hood, the updated Meridian is expected to retain the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder Multijet turbo-diesel engine from the current model, delivering a peak power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options may also remain unchanged, offering a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed torque converter automatic. The 4WD setup is likely to be available with the automatic gearbox, while the 4X2 drivetrain can be paired with either a manual or automatic transmission.
With minimal cosmetic and feature enhancements, the 2024 Jeep Meridian facelift may see a slight increase in price over the existing version, which is currently available within the price range of Rs 33.60 lakh to Rs 39.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
