The off-road SUV segment is going to witness two major product launches from Force Motors. The indigenous SUV manufacturer is set to announce prices of its new Force Gurkha 5-door and updated Gurkha 3-door in coming weeks. Ahead of its official arrival, the company has released multiple teasers revealing some intriguing design details and features.
The latest teaser confirms a presence of a large touchscreen infotainment system and a new fully digital TFT instrument cluster. The latter one will show tyre pressure and safety indicators. The center console will also be redesigned featuring knob for shift-on-the-fly 4WD functionality, along with two fuel indicators. The safety kit of the new 2024 Force Gurkha 5-door and 3-odder will include multiple airbags and traction control.
This time around, the new Gurkha will come with multiple seating options including 4-seats for the 3-door Gurkha, and 5 and 6-seats for 5-door Gurkha. Additionally, its 5-door version could also be available with the 7-seater configuration featuring a bench seat in the middle row and two individual seats in the third row. Both off-road SUVs will share a largely similar appearance, although the bumpers and rear doors could be different. Thhe 5-door Gurkha will have 425mm longer wheelbase compared to the 3-door version, providing more cabin space to accommodate an extra row of seat. Both models will feature the brand’s signature two-slat grille, square headlamps and new 16-inch alloys with 245/70 R16 tryes. Buyers will also get several accessories with these off-road SUVs including a rear ladder and a roof rack with space for a jerry can.
Under the hood, the new 2024 Force Gurkha 3-door and 5-door are likely to feature the Mercedes-sourced 2.6L diesel engine with the 5-speed manual gearbox. The same motor was previously claimed to deliver a peak power of 91bhp and 250Nm of torque in the discontinued 3-door Gurkha model.
