NEW DELHI: Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh advocated for Sanju Samson‘s grooming as India’s next T20 captain post-Rohit Sharma after Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured a convincing nine-wicket win over Mumbai Indians (MI) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Applauding Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s century, Harbhajan emphasized Samson’s inclusion in India’s T20 World Cup squad, dismissing any debate on the wicketkeeper-batsman position.
“Yashasvi Jaiswal’s knock is a proof of class is permanent, form is temporary @ybj_19. And there shouldn’t be any debate about Keeper-batsman. @IamSanjuSamson should walk in to the Indian team for T20 world cup and also groomed as a next T20 captain for India after Rohit,” Harbhajan tweeted.
