Marvel Studios is getting ready for the live-action X-Men feature, and Michael Lesslie, the Hunger Games screenwriter, is in talks to helm the project. With no director or linked talent, the project is still in its early stages of development and no release date established.
Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, will produce. Following the end of the writers’ strike, the project was one of the first significant writing projects. Lesslie was chosen as the winner after a number of contenders were interviewed .
The announcement follows the triumph of Marvel’s animated series X-Men ’97, which received some of the finest reviews for any Marvel franchise in years and saw a significant increase in ratings onDisney+.
Fans may now anticipate a number of X-Men-related projects from the studio, such as Deadpool & Wolverine. With her assistance in helping Lionsgate restart the Hunger Games brand with Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snake. Lesslie is becoming the industry’s go-to scribe for franchises in need of a boost.
