A solid action drama from our Tollywood “Harom Hara” is one of the many films that hit the theaters this week. The trailer of this film, which has changed from Nitro Star to Nava Dalapati Sudhir Babu, has raised good expectations among all. Let’s see in the review whether this film has met the expectations.
Story:
If we come to the story, the background of this movie is set in 1980s in Chittoor district. Tammireddy (Lakki Lakshman) lives like a king with his younger brother and son Sarath Reddy (Arjun Gowda) while brutally torturing the people in the Kuppam area, grabbing their lands and scaring them. And in this sequence, Subrahmanyam (Sudhir Babu) comes to the area as a lab assistant in a college for a small job. Subrahmanyam joins the gun mafia with his talent to pay off the debts of his father (Jaya Prakash). How will Tammireddy harm his beloved father in this sequence? What will Subrahmanyam do for his people? If you want to know whether gun mafia will be good or bad for Subrahmanyam, you have to watch this movie.
Plus Points:
Sudheer Babu as an actor should be appreciated for every movie. It must be said that the performances he is giving to his characters from his choice of story are very good. Sudhir Babu has given more than 100 percent from himself in this movie. No matter his looks, his words and behavior are also impressive. Also many emotions on him but action sequences are very good.
Actor Sunil Phalani, who appeared with Sudhir throughout the film, gave a good performance as Swami. And Malvika Mohanan’s role is also good. It must be said that actor Lucky Laxman of KGJF fame, who has appeared in villainous roles, has shown solid villainy. Also, Kannada actor Arjun Gowda made a good debut in Tollywood with this movie.
The highlight of this movie is the hero elevations, but the tone of the movie is unique in the first half and the background score makes many scenes refreshing to watch. Also there are plenty of solid elements for those who love mass and good violence action. Besides these, the emotions between Sudhir and Jayaprakash are good. Other actors Kadambari Kiran, Akshara Gowda and others have done full justice to their roles.
Minus Points:
If there is a major draw back in this movie, it must be said that it is the line of the movie. Harom Hara is also seen in the line that is coming to elevate the hero in recent times. It should be said that this is Sudhir Babu’s version, like KG to Yash and Pushpa to Allu Arjun. However, the background of the region chosen in the film is also the same as the dialect, so it seems that the floral shades are more. The way the story is told and the accent is also reminiscent of the movie itself.
Along with these, the second half seems to be a bit slow here and there. Also, compared to all the action sequences, the climax action episode feels very unnatural. It needs to be done better. Also some scenes have no logic and some scenes seem to have been seen in many movies. Most of the movies are elevating only one hero as the main character. Apart from this, Malvika’s character does not have much scope in the film.
Technical category:
The production values of the movie are very good. The vintage back drop is all neat to suit the set up of the movie. Chaitan Bhardwaj has given very good music in the technical category. Mainly, the background score elevated the film to a level. And Arvind Vishwanath’s cinematography is also very good. Editing by Ravi Teja Girija is good but some scenes need speeding up.
And when it comes to the director Gnyanasagar Dwarka.. he impressed with this movie as a director but took a very routine story. He has written the dialogues well and also planned the screenplay well, but in the case of a single story, those who have seen pan India hits Pushpa and Kejief may not feel new. But till his version, Harom Hara was not screened in such a way as to reduce it anywhere. He took care of how much he wanted and how much he got from which actors. There are not many mistakes from his side except for one movie line issue.
Verdict:
Overall, this “Harom Hara” is another solid attempt from Sudhir Babu. It can be said that this movie has become a plus for him as an actor. This movie will engage those with good clean elevations and solid music taste. The director has also made the film well but the line seems a bit routine. It doesn’t matter if the line is already known, this movie will please the mass audience.
