Samsung’s wireless earbuds have a distinct identity thanks to their compact case and stemless design. However, that is about to change, as the Galaxy Buds 3 series will launch next month with a major redesign. One more leak has confirmed this change in design.

Galaxy Buds 3 design change brings a stem, confirmed by Samsung’s app

The Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will have a completely new design compared to the current-generation Galaxy Buds. They will have a stem similar to Apple’s AirPods and countless other wireless earbuds on the market. The upcoming earbuds from Samsung also have a pinch gesture, bringing more ways to control music playback and other actions.

The new design and pinch gestures were spotted in the Samsung Members app’s code by code sleuth Assemble Debug (in partnership with Android Authority). As you can see in the images above, the illustrations found within the Samsung Members (version 5.0.00.11) app’s code suggest that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will have a stem and a distinct line (possibly the Blade Lights that leaked a few days ago)

Since the illustrations were found in black and white colors, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will likely launch in those colors. The Galaxy Buds 3 could have a similar design, albeit without Black Lights. In comparison, you can watch a more compact design of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in our video below.

A previous leak revealed that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will have a dual-driver audio setup, 24-bit 96KHz audio transmission, Adaptive ANC, Adaptive EQ, Ambient Mode, and an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance. They will reportedly last up to 30 hours on a single charge.

The Galaxy Buds 3 will reportedly have a single-drive audio setup, a downgrade compared to the Galaxy Buds 2 (but that might not affect audio quality). It lacks Adaptive EQ but features ANC and an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance. They will likely come with a 24-hour battery life claim from Samsung.
