Maruti Suzuki announced its Vision 3.0 earlier this year, under which the automaker will expand its product portfolio with eight new models in the next three to four years. The plan also outlines increasing production capacity twofold and tripling exports in the next eight years. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki product lineup is likely to include multiple petrol, CNG, hybrid, flex-fuel, and ethanol-powered cars. Here’s a brief on upcoming Maruti Suzuki cars that will cost you below Rs 10 lakh.
After the new Swift, the next-generation Maruti Dzire will be the next product launch from the company, slated to arrive during the 2024 festive season. The all-new compact sedan will share its design elements, features, platform, and powertrain with the new Swift. This means it will feature Suzuki’s new Z-Series 1.2L petrol engine that’s good for 82bhp and 112Nm. The new gasoline unit is claimed to be high on mileage and produce up to 12 percent less carbon emissions.
Next in line is the Maruti Suzuki Fronx faceliftwhich is scheduled to hit the roads in 2025. With the mid-life update, the compact crossover will receive the Swift’s 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine with Suzuki’s all-new hybrid system. The setup is likely to include a petrol engine, an electric motor, and a battery pack ranging between 1.5kWh – 2kWh. The carmaker will also introduce the new-generation Maruti Baleno hatchback with the same hybrid powertrain. Maruti Suzuki’s in-house developed hybrid tech is likely to offer a fuel efficiency of over 35kmpl. The new-gen Baleno will arrive by 2026.
Maruti Suzuki is also planning to bring an entry-level three-row MPV based on the Japan-spec Spacia MPV and an electric MPV by 2027. The Spacia-based mini MPV could be offered with the 1.2L petrol and Suzuki’s in-house hybrid tech. The model will measure under 4 meters in length and will compete against the Renault Triber. The electric MPV, on the other hand, might come with two battery packs – a 48kWh and 60kWh. Some of its elements and components could be borrowed from the upcoming Maruti eVX electric SUV.
Furthermore, the automaker aims to challenge the Tata Tiago EV with a new entry-level electric hatchback. The model might appear similar to the eWX concept and measure nearly 3.4 meters in length. Its powertrain will be capable of delivering a range of 230km on a full charge. The new Maruti Suzuki electric hatchback is expected to hit the roads in 2026 or 2027.
