The latest comedy entertainer movie “Darling” starring young and talented actors Nabha Natesh and Priyadarsha in main lead. The film received a good response with the trailer and came to entertain in the theaters this week. And let’s know how this movie is in the review.
Story:
Coming to the story, Raghava (Priyadarshi) dreams that if he studies well and works hard, he will get a good wife and then he can go to Paris. He is waiting for his marriage and life partner. So one day a marriage is fixed with Nandini (Ananya Nagala), but right before the wedding, she leaves with the one she loves. With this, Raghava goes into depression and becomes fixated on his death. Anandi (Nabha Natesh) is introduced at the time of death. And he marries her within hours of that introduction. What happened to Raghava from there? What is Anandi’s problem, who is she? We have to watch on the silver screen whether the two will be together in the end.
Plus Points:
One of the promising aspects of this film is the first off. The narration goes on with good comedy right from the start. Even before the pre-interval, funny scenes and good one-liners impress. Also, there is an emotional scene on Raghubabu in the second half. Also, among the actors’ performances, the main lead has given solid performances.
Nabha Natesh and Priyadarshi have definitely given their best to this movie. Nabha Natesh has shown good performance in this film with more shades in his career. Various gestures are very cute. She also acted well in some emotional scenes. And we know for Priyadarshi. He has shown his ease performance in many films. Also in this he impresses with good comedy timing. Also, his emotional performance in the second half was good.
Along with them, there are also some interesting cameos in the movie. Comedian Brahma Brahmanandam did a surprise. Young actress Ananya Nagalla, mega daughter Niharika and talented actor Suhas appeared in good roles in this movie. Along with them, Muralidhar Goud, Raghu Babu, Sunita Manohar and others are impressive in terms of their roles.
Minus Points:
A solid second half after a decent and okay first half would be a big plus for the movie. But this is sorely missed in this film. Most of the second half is annoying with unexciting twists and poor screenplay. Also, the fun elements maintained in the first half are not much in the second half, even if they are, they certainly cannot please all sections of the audience.
And with these we have already seen movies like Aparichitudu and Chandramukhi and this movie also comes in the same category and gives a very boring treat. Besides, there is no proper emotions in the movie. Also, Niharika’s character is seen without any real connection in the film. There is no real logic to how she knows about the lead actors and how she gets the role.
Apart from this, the director missed many logics in the second half. In addition to this, Nabha Natesh’s performance is somewhat okay, but a section of the audience may get bored at one time. The whole second half seems to be disappointing. Even with a pony climax, the movie will not bring any excitement. Also, the movie seems to drag on after a while.
Technical category:
The production values are good in this film. The songs given by the music director Vivek Sagar in the technical team were not up to his mark. Except for one song in the first half, his work is disappointing. Also the re-recording is not impressive. Cinematography by Naresh Rama Durai is good. A Raghav should have reduced the boring scenes in editing. Dialogues do not matter.
When it comes to director Ashwin Ram, his work in this film is below average. It’s okay till the Priyadarshi line but the rest of the movie is boring and seems like what we’ve seen already. Moreover, he stretched the narration to a great extent. Comedy is okay at some places but everything else is disappointing.
Verdict:
Overall, Priyadarshi and Nabha Natesh, the main lead in this “Darling” movie, have done well in their roles. Also, some scenes in the first half where the decent comedy does not matter here and there make this film in the range of an OK entertainer. But there are also many boring scenes and this movie does not feel like a full-fledged entertainer. But those who want to watch the movie with very low expectations should try it.
