Suriya’s highly anticipated film Kanguva is set to release on October 10th as a Dussehra special. The Tamil film industry hopes it will be the first to hit the 1000-crore mark.
However, many cinephiles on social media are skeptical about the film, criticizing director Siva for his track record of routine commercial films like Veeram, Vedalam, Viswasam, and Vivegam.

They argue that his films are generally forgettable and that his last project, Annaatthe with Rajinikanth, was a major flop. Siva is one of the most trolled directors and many believe that it’s foolish to expect Siva to deliver a 1000-crore pan-India blockbuster.
However, positive signs are emerging. Reports from a few media sources who have seen a three-minute action reel of Kanguva highlight its impressive visuals and thrilling action sequences. Some shots are described as mind-blowing, suggesting the film has potential.

Kanguva will have a true pan-India release on October 10th and will be shown in all major national multiplex chains as it will be available on OTT platforms only after eight weeks, which could contribute significantly to its box office success.
The team is confident that the fusion of period action with modern elements will appeal to pan-India audiences.
