Vijayawada: The Jana Sena’s (JS) NRI wing in US has donated ration kits worth `20 lakh to 1,020 flood-affected families in flood-hit Vijayawada and Pedapulipaka areas. JS MLC P. Hari Prasad flagged off the vehicles carrying these essential items for distribution from the party’s central office in Mangalagiri on Friday.
Each ration kit consists of 8 kg of rice, 1 kg of dal, onions, salt, chili powder, tamarind, and 1 litre cooking oil. Additionally, JS party programme committee secretary Kotte Venkateswarlu donated 400 sarees, 400 blankets, and 2,000 biscuit packets to the victims.
