Yamaha Motor India has introduced the updated R15 M and MT 15 MotoGP editions, priced at Rs 1,98,800 and Rs 1,73,400, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The R15M costs nearly Rs 2,000 premium than its metallic silver variant and MT-15 is just Rs 700 more expensive than its deluxe variant. Both bikes are offered with the MotoGP-inspired colour scheme featuring MotoGP-inspired livery on the fuel tank, side panels, take shrouds and a Monster Energy logo on the front mudguard.
No changes have been made to their engines. The Yamaha R15 M and MT 15 MotoGP editions use the same 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a 6-speed gearbox. The motor pushes out a peak power of 18.4bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The R15 M gets a quickshifter. For performing suspension duties, the bikes use the USD fork and monoshock rear unit. Its stopping power comes from the front and rear disc brakes, further assisted by dual-channel ABS.
