Tata Motors today launched the Nexon iCNG, Nexon.ev with a larger 45kWh battery pack, and the new Nexon.ev Red Dark Edition in the country. While we have covered the first two in separate stories, here we will discuss all the details about the new Tata Nexon EV Red #Dark Edition.
The Red #Dark Edition is offered exclusively in the top-end Empowered+ persona trim, priced at Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Compared to the regular Nexon EV Empowered 45, which costs Rs 16.99 lakh, the Nexon EV Red #Dark Empowered 45 is approximately Rs 20,000 more expensive.
Painted in a sporty Carbon Black shade, the new Tata Nexon EV 45 Red #Dark Edition features a piano black lower grille, a piano black dark chrome 2D Tata logo, Red Dark badging on the front fenders, charcoal roof rails, and a special dark mascot, along with piano jet black 16-inch alloy wheels with black tint lacquer.
Inside, the Tata Nexon EV Red Dark Edition has an all-black theme with red contrasting elements throughout. The dashboard features a satin midnight black finish with granite black and a red dark double deco stitch. Unlike the regular version, the Red #Dark Edition has a special user interface for the instrument cluster. The red seat upholstery with #Dark embossed into the headrests further enhances its sporty appeal.
The powertrain setup of the new Tata Nexon EV 45 Red #Dark Edition includes a 45kWh battery pack and an electric motor. The carmaker claims that the larger battery pack provides an ARAI-certified range of 489km on a full charge. Its battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes using a 60kW fast charger. The electric SUV also supports V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging technology. Key features include a panoramic sunroof with voice assistance, a 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, connected car technology, a full LED lighting package, and a frunk.
