Flew Delhi-Toronto on Air India: Why it was a disappointing experience

Flew Delhi-Toronto on Air India: Why it was a disappointing experience BHPian Turbanator recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Sadly AI continue to use old planes on US/ Canada sectors. They are minting money with full flights. AI has recently added a second flight flight to Toronto (a few days a week probably) I sat on this seat last week for 15 hours Service is a big question as well. The only thing that was better over my last trip was the quality of food from Toronto has surely improved. No one answers to call signs so the best is to get up and go yourself to pick up the stuff or drop the cutlery Knowing fully what’s going to happen, AI continues to have the least flying distance/ time – non-stop, so it remains the reason for 99% of the travellers. Don’t know when will they change the planes or refurbish them. Also, it took about 50 minutes to get me the luggage – priority has no meaning for AI. Here’s what BHPian V.Narayan had to say on the matter:In my considered assessment Air India is lost. Completely so. Campbell was a sub optimal hire and the Air India Board, I am told, are scratching their heads of what to do with him. A weak CEO + a legacy culture + too many consultants with authority but no responsibilities and on top of this a unnecessary merger. Expect things with Air India to get a lot worse before they get better.Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
