BRS has been losing steam in Telangana after losing the 2023 Assembly Elections. 10 of its MLAs have already defected to the Congress Party, further weakening it in the state.
On the other side, after winning the elections in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu focused on reviving the Telugu Desam Party in Telangana as well.

He also promised to visit Telangana every month and hold constant discussions with the party leaders to reconstruct the party in Telangana from the surface level.
Now, if the ongoing reports are anything to go by, Telangana TDP is going to get a huge boost as two BRS MLAs are joining the party. Already, a former MLA announced his shift to the TDP.

If we get into details, former Minister and BRS Medchal MLA, Malla Reddy and his son-in-law and Malkajgiri MLA, Marri Rajashekhar Reddy, along with former MLA and former Hyderabad Mayor, Theegala Krishna Reddy, meet Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad today.
They met Naidu at his Jubilee Hills residence this afternoon. After the meeting, Krishna Reddy said that he would soon join TDP. He said that Chandrababu Naidu was the reason behind Hyderabad’s development and assured to bring back the past glory to the party in Telangana.

On the other side, Malla Reddy said that he met Naidu to invite him to his granddaughter’s wedding. He didn’t talk about switching the party.
But it is being widely speculated that Malla Reddy may also join TDP soon. Recently, he held a meeting with his followers and it was rumoured that he discussed joining TDP at that meeting.
Malla Reddy was a TDP member in the past and served as the party’s MP as well. But he later shifted to BRS in 2014. Now, we hear that he is planning to join TDP again.
Amid these speculations, Malla Reddy’s meeting with Chandrababu Naidu has gained notable attention on social media.
