Despite more than four months having passed since the new government was formed in Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP leaders continue to blame Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the electoral outcomes of the recent elections. Their renewed focus on EVM allegations follows the recent Haryana elections, where initial trends suggested a clear advantage for the Congress party over the BJP, only for the BJP to eventually secure an absolute majority as counting progressed.
YSRCP has seized upon this situation to reiterate their claims regarding EVM malfunctions during the AP elections. However, they overlook a critical distinction: in the case of the Haryana elections, the trends fluctuated significantly, whereas in Andhra Pradesh, the counting showed a consistent trend favoring the TDP alliance from the very first round to the last, dominating both postal ballots and EVM votes throughout the counting process.

Additionally, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called for a return to ballot paper elections, suggesting a lack of confidence in the EVM system. Instead of reflecting on the reasons behind their electoral defeat, YSRCP leaders seem focused on blaming the technology used for voting.
This persistent narrative not only detracts from a constructive analysis of their electoral performance but also raises questions about their commitment to addressing the challenges they face within the political landscape.
