The updated Meridian will be the next launch from Jeep India. Booking windows for the SUV have already been opened nationwide with a deposit of Rs 50,000. According to a recent media report, the 2024 Jeep Meridian facelift will introduce two new entry-level variants – Longitude and Longitude (O) – with 5- and 7-seat configurations, respectively. Similar to the Compass Longitude, the Meridian’s new base variant will feature a dual-tone black and grey interior theme, along with a 10-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch instrument cluster.

Features such as a wireless phone charger, a sunroof, and a fog lamp assembly will also be offered. The Longitude (O) trim will include a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The new Meridian Limited (O) trim will receive a new beige interior theme along with updated connected car tech. Most of its features will be carried forward from the pre-facelift model. The top-end Overland variant will be available with the Tupelo interior theme, a new ADAS suite, and connected car tech.

Similar to the outgoing model, the new 2024 Jeep Meridian facelift is expected to use the 2.0L diesel engine paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The engine delivers a maximum power of 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. The new base Longitude (O) variant will offer both manual and automatic gearbox options, with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) system. The Limited (O) variant will continue to offer both FWD and all-wheel-drive (AWD) setups. The Overland variant, available with both manual and automatic gearboxes, will offer FWD for the manual version and AWD for the automatic version.

A marginal price hike is expected, but with the introduction of the two new entry-level variants, the starting price point is likely to remain unchanged. Currently, the Meridian SUV is priced between Rs 29.99 lakh and Rs 37.14 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). In the premium three-row SUV segment, it will continue to compete against the Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster, and Toyota Fortuner.
