Allu Arjun winning a National Award for Pushpa: The Rise has rubbed many in the wrong way.
Especially the entire Tamil Industry seems to be green with jealousy about Allu Arjun’s National Award win. While Tollywood received a maximum number of awards, the Tamil industry got nothing.
Recently, actor Vishal has expressed his skepticism towards awards, including the National Awards.
During a recent event in Chennai, while promoting his upcoming film, Mark Antony, he boldly stated, “I do not believe in awards at all. The real award is given by all the people together. With the blessings of the audience, I have been standing in the industry for many years and acting in films. Actually, that is the biggest award for me.”
Vishal even went as far as to say that if he were to receive any awards, he would throw them in the dustbin.
This reaction from Vishal seems to be a case of sour grapes and exposes the fact that many actors have become salty about Allu Arjun’s National Award win. Not just the Tamil film fraternity but also Tamil fans have been crying on social media over Tollywood’s dominance during the awards ceremony.
