Anushka’s movie after a long gap … Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty. This is also Naveen Polishetty’s movie after “Jathiratnalu”. And has this movie given success to the Shetty combo..?
The first thing that aroused interest in this movie was the pair of hero and heroine. The audience is curious about how these two are set for this story. The answer to this will be known by watching the movie. As the character is older than the hero.. Naveen-Anushka is already set. The scenes between them were also good. But the chemistry was not as expected. Naveen Polishetty overcomes this minus with his comedy timing.
As far as the story is concerned.. Anushka’s character name in this movie is Anvita. Anvita is a chef in London. Individuality is high. At the same time it is against marriage. Anushka, who has lost her mother, does not get married but longs to be a mother to a child. For this it looks for a sperm donor. It also sets some properties. One sees such qualities in standup comedian Naveen Polishetty. He gets close. The hero who does not know the real thing gets overwhelmed. He tries hard to convince her. When he reaches a point, he is shocked to know that Anvita only wants children from him, no marriage. And what did Naveen do at such a time? The story is whether Anushka has given birth to a child or not.
Director P said that there will be no adult content in this movie, only bold content. Mahesh Babu gave clarity before the release. That clarity is true. If not, this director has given a comedy quote to that bold content as well. This is the winning point in the movie “Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty”. Although the first 20 minutes are boring, the rest of the movie is entertaining.
Although there is no second half in the first half, the emotional part in the climax and pre-climax connects to the audience. Although it is a familiar story, it is easy to imagine what happens next.. It is only this emotional content that makes the movie easy to watch.
That is not to say that the whole movie is super. As mentioned earlier, it was boring here and there. There were some inappropriate scenes in the second half. Music is finite. The chemistry between the heroines is also not ripe.
The concept of insemination is not new to us. Earlier Sumanth did a film. But the concept of casting the hero to the heroine for semen is new. This is the point of difference from most romantic-love movies. And the songs that are sung to impress the hero and heroine, who do not know the original matter, are laughable. Naveen’s standup comedy is a bonus. But rather than the standup comedy part, Naveen’s character comedy is more laughable.
His acting is the highlight of the movie. He even dominated a heroine like Anushka at some places. Moreover, it seems that no one but him can do this role. And Anushka also did well as always. But her looks and body language lacked dynamism. If you observe her looks and acting throughout the movie, it seems that she is acting very carefully. Muralisharma, Tulsi, Harshvardhan, Sonia and Abhinav Gotam have done justice to their roles.
Technically, as mentioned earlier, Radhan’s songs are not good. Background music is ok. Camera work by Nirav Shah and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao are good. The production values of the makers of UV Creations are rich.
Overall… “Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty” movie is a time pass movie. This movie runs slowly here and there.. You can watch this movie once for Naveen Polishetty’s acting and comedy.
