Farmers and laborers have become aggressive in Punjab against the G-20 summit being held in Delhi. Alleging that the policies of the central government are anti-national and pushing the country towards slavery, as many as 16 farmers’ organizations have taken to the streets and effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been burnt at 90 places in Punjab.

The countries participating in the conference want control over everything important in India, from air routes to sea routes, water and mining, the farmers say, and telecom and railways have already been sold. Farmers have also alleged that the Narendra Modi government at the center is responsible for this. The central government has imposed a lockdown in Delhi for three days. Sarwan Singh Pandher of Punjab Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti said that people are suffering a lot of heartache due to this.
