Similar to the ‘Narasura Rakta Charitra’ campaign about Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy murder before the 2019 general elections, YSRCP’s official media outlet, Sakshi, has featured another prominent headline today. Sakshi has printed “A-1 Chandrababu Arrested” in the Skill Development scam.
It appears that YSRCP leaders are attempting to portray CBN as A-1 in a particular case to draw a parallel with YS Jagan. However, the reality differs from what Sakshi has presented, especially considering the CID’s final remand report.
The CID referred to CBN as A-37 in the skill development scam in their remand report before presenting him in front of a judge. So, it raises questions about why Sakshi published CBN as A-1 in the scam when the CID had already identified Ghanta Subba Rao as A-1.
Nevertheless, due to the legal requirement of appearing in court within 24 hours of arrest, Chandrababu was taken to the ACB court early on Sunday morning. The CID filed a memo to include Chandrababu as an accused, citing the absence of his name in the initial FIR.
In fact, in the FIR filed in 2021, Chandrababu’s name does not appear in the skill development case. However, when the CID remand report was presented to the ACB court, Chandrababu’s name was added to the FIR just before the court appearance.
This has led to many doubts and questions about the CID’s actions. In the midst of this, Sakshi has published stories portraying CBN as A-1, despite the inconsistencies in the case.
While it’s common knowledge that Jagan is referred to as A-1 in various cases, Sakshi’s attempt to label CBN as A-1 in the Skill Development scam appears to be an effort to please their leadership. However, reality often diverges from assumptions, and this episode represents another setback for Sakshi after ‘Narasura Rakta Charitra’.
