Jawan box office collection Day 4: Shah Rukh Khan-starrer grosses Rs 520 crore globally in four days | Bollywood News

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s Jawan is breaking old records and setting new benchmarks. The mass actioner released on September 7 and had an incredible opening day figure of Rs 75 crore all India nett. The film has now broken even that record, as it earned Rs 81 crore on Sunday, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. This makes it the film that has recorded the highest single-day collection.

Pathaan had netted Rs 70.50 crore pan-India (with Hindi collections at Rs 68 crore) on the second day of its release, which was January 26, a national holiday. Jawan has managed to surpass the figure on its fourth day, which was a Sunday.

Apart from ruling the box office at home, Jawan has also become the fastest Bollywood movie to earn Rs 500 crore at the global box office. As per Red Chillies Entertainment, the film has made Rs 520.79 crore globally in four days.

Pathaan took five days to cross the Rs 500 crore mark. SRK has also set another record. He has became the only actor to have two Rs 500 crore club films (Pathaan and Jawan) in a single year.

Jawan will now be eyeing to easily break Pathaan’s record at the box office, making it an epic–but amusing–box office clash between two Shah Rukh Khan films.

Jawan emerged as the top Hindi opener of the year at Rs 75 crore, beating Pathaan which made Rs 57 crore. Jawan also has the record of entering Rs 200 crore in just three days. Pathaan could manage to reach this in 4 days, and Gadar 2 was able to manage it in 5 days.

Jawan–with Hindi dialogues written by Sumit Arora– also stars Vijay Sethupathi, NayantharaSanya Malhotra, Priyamani , Sunil Grover among others. It also features Deepika Padukone in a special appearance.
